Frequently asked questions
How long is the gift card valid?
Unlimited — your credit does not expire. (Statutory limitation period in Austria: 30 years.)
What happens to remaining credit?
It simply stays on the gift card code and can be redeemed on your next purchase. After each redemption we email you the current remaining balance.
What if a product is no longer available?
Just contact us with your gift card code: depending on availability we convert the product voucher into an equivalent product or into a value voucher.

Product vouchers apply to the product or bundle shown; if it is permanently unavailable, it will be converted into an equivalent product or a value voucher after you contact us. If the value of the product rises by more than 10 %, we reserve the right to charge the difference. 1. Scope & issuer
These voucher terms apply to all gift vouchers purchased through the MINTU online shop (mintu.shop). The issuer is MINTU OG, Villach, Austria. Austrian law applies.
2. Types of vouchers
There are two types: the Wertgutschein for a freely selectable amount of money (a multi-purpose voucher for VAT purposes) and the Produktgutschein for a specifically designated product or bundle (generally a single-purpose voucher for VAT purposes). No monetary amount is shown on the product voucher.
3. Validity
Vouchers are valid without a time limit; redemption is possible within the statutory limitation period (30 years in Austria). Vouchers do not expire before the end of this period.
4. Redemption
Redemption takes place exclusively in the MINTU online shop, via the link or QR code in the voucher or by entering the voucher code during checkout. With a product voucher, the designated products are added to the cart and the code is applied automatically; products and shipping within Austria and Germany are covered. A product voucher can be redeemed once. Where technically supported, one or more vouchers can be redeemed per order.
5. Remaining balance, no cash payout
Value vouchers can be redeemed in several steps. Any unused remaining balance stays on the voucher code and can be used for a later order. Cash payout of the voucher value or of any remaining balance is excluded.
6. Transferability, loss & misuse
Vouchers are transferable. Whoever presents the valid code is entitled to redeem it. We do not verify the redeemer's entitlement. We accept no liability for the loss, theft or unauthorized redemption of a code; a lost code cannot be replaced. Please keep the code in a safe place.
7. Special provisions for product vouchers
If the product designated on a product voucher is not (or no longer) available at the time of redemption, the voucher can, subject to availability, be converted into an equivalent product or into a value voucher for the amount paid (request stating the code). Should the regular sales price of the product have risen by more than 10 % compared with the time of issue, we reserve the right to charge the difference before delivery.
8. Purchase with discount codes
Discount codes apply to product vouchers in the same way as to the products they contain: a code applies to a product voucher if it applies to all products contained. Value vouchers are excluded from discount codes.
9. Combinability
Unless expressly stated otherwise, vouchers cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts on the same item. Membership and loyalty benefits remain unaffected where stated.
10. VAT
For multi-purpose vouchers (value vouchers), VAT arises only upon redemption; the taxable amount is the consideration paid. For single-purpose vouchers (product vouchers), VAT arises already upon sale of the voucher.
11. Shipping & delivery
Vouchers are delivered by email, immediately or on a chosen date. Postal delivery is currently not offered. When purchasing a product voucher, the shop's regular shipping terms apply as when purchasing the products contained; no shipping costs apply on redemption.
12. Right of withdrawal
Consumers have the statutory right of withdrawal. The right of withdrawal expires once the voucher has been fully redeemed. Details are set out in our withdrawal policy.
13. Final provisions
We reserve the right to amend these terms with effect for vouchers issued in the future. Should any provision be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. Austrian law applies.
