Voucher Conditions

1. Scope & issuer

These voucher terms apply to all gift vouchers purchased through the MINTU online shop (mintu.shop). The issuer is MINTU OG, Villach, Austria. Austrian law applies.

2. Types of voucher

There are two types: the value voucher for a freely selectable monetary amount (a multi-purpose voucher for VAT purposes) and the product voucher for a specifically designated product or bundle (as a rule a single-purpose voucher for VAT purposes). No monetary amount is shown on the product voucher.

3. Validity

Vouchers are valid without a time limit; redemption is possible within the statutory limitation period (30 years in Austria). They do not expire before the end of this period.

4. Redemption

Redemption takes place exclusively in the MINTU online shop by entering the voucher code during the order process. For a product voucher, the designated product is added to the shopping cart; the code covers this product. Where technically supported, one or more vouchers can be redeemed per order.

5. Remaining balance, no cash payout

Value vouchers can be redeemed in several steps. Any unused remaining balance stays on the voucher code and can be used for a later order. Cash payout of the voucher value or of a remaining balance is excluded.

6. Transferability, loss & misuse

Vouchers are transferable. Anyone who presents the valid code is entitled to redeem it. The entitlement of the person redeeming the voucher is not checked. We accept no liability for the loss, theft or unauthorized redemption of a code; if a code is lost, it cannot be replaced. Please keep your code safe.

7. Special provisions for product vouchers

If the product designated on a product voucher is no longer available at the time of redemption, the voucher can, subject to availability, be converted into an equivalent product or into a value voucher for the amount paid (please contact us quoting the code). Should the regular selling price of the product have risen by more than 10% compared with the date of issue, we reserve the right to charge the difference before delivery.

8. Purchase with discount codes

If a voucher is itself purchased using a discount code, the effective benefit on product vouchers is limited to a maximum of 25%. Higher codes take effect only up to this limit.

9. Combinability

Unless expressly stated otherwise, vouchers cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts on the same item. Membership and regular-customer benefits remain unaffected where indicated.

10. VAT

For a multi-purpose voucher (value voucher), VAT arises only upon redemption; the taxable base is the amount paid. For a single-purpose voucher (product voucher), VAT arises already upon sale of the voucher.

11. Shipping & delivery

Digital vouchers are delivered by email, either immediately or on a date of your choice. Postal delivery is possible on request; the shop’s regular shipping costs apply.

12. Right of withdrawal

Consumers have the statutory right of withdrawal. The right of withdrawal lapses upon full redemption of the voucher. Details are set out in our withdrawal instructions.

13. Final provisions

We reserve the right to amend these terms with effect for vouchers issued in the future. Should any provision be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. Austrian law applies.
